Dear Tesoro Cultural Center Patron:

We are pleased to announce the 10th Annual Tesoro Cultural Center’s Indian Market & Powwow on May 15 & 16, 2010. As you may be aware, many of our Indian Market artists come from out of town. Due to economic factors, without artist sponsorship many of these artists would be unable to attend the market. If it is difficult to pay rent, travel expenses are out of the question. That is why we hope you can sponsor an artist to help him/her with their travel expenditures.

If you choose to sponsor an artist, you will be making a $225 donation which will help pay the cost of three nights of lodging for your chosen artist. In return you will receive a piece of the artists’ work of equal or greater value. In the past, this partnership has created a relationship between many of the artists and the sponsors. Another option is to choose to receive no benefits so your donation is 100% tax deductible. Either way your contribution will be appreciated.

Enclosed please find a list of artists that would like sponsorship and a short biography on each one. Other artists may need sponsorship as there are still a handful of artists currently completing the application process. We will notify you as to any additional artists if and when they become available.

This program has helped the Tesoro Cultural Center bring the best artists to the Indian Market and has given many of our members the opportunity to own a unique piece of Native American art. The artists are always truly grateful to their sponsors for their support.

If you would like to sponsor an artist, please fill out the enclosed form and send it back to us with payment (credit card or check made out to the Tesoro Cultural Center).
